Mitt Romney uses Stimulus as a weapon

The GOP is going to use the stimulus against the President. A really good idea since it seemed like there very little bang for the buck. Republican Mitt Romney criticized a restored 19th century bridge as just another example of the waste he says is rampant in President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The stone bridge that straddles the Contoocook River in the town of Hillsborough received $150,000 in federal stimulus money to repair the Sawyer Bridge as part of a new park project designed to put people to work installing new benches, lights and visitor parking. This never happened of course the freshly repaired bridge with its new concrete surface and black iron pedestrian rails stops just as it reaches the other side. The road it once served has shifted a few hundred feet and a replacement bridge connects the two sides of the central New Hampshire town. Hillsborough’s application for money from the President Barrack Obama $800 billion stimulus program claimed the new bridge would be the centerpiece of a park for residents to walk or bike. But the town hasn’t completed its portion of the project, leaving the bridge ready for visitors but still inaccessible to the public. Romney called this another example that President Obama has made huge costly errors since getting to the White House. He went on to claim “without question, the largest, one-time, careless expenditure of government money in American history.”

GOP raising money at great clip

The numbers keep coming in and each month they look better. Mitt Romney and the Republican Party raised $40 million in April. The lame streamers state the number is unexpectedly strong. This is a great number for the first month of the general campaign. They cannot take the fact that there is a real enthusiasm for the GOP. This is a real threat to President Barack Obama’s overwhelming cash advantage. Romney has been working the backroom and cold calling like crazy as he is privately courting donors. We know one thing this is going to be the most expensive campaign in history. The number shows that in just one month President Obama had a 10-to-1 cash advantage shrink down to a 2-to-1. We think that once the GOP stands together along with the Republican National Committee the whole thing will fall in line and we are looking better than ever. The idea this time is not going to be the strategy from 2008. The GOP learned they cannot sit by and let President Obama run the table. They are going to air with the first GOP TV ads of the general campaign, a positive commercial intended to introduce him to voters. The ads will play in the four hottest most competitive battleground states: Iowa, North Carolina, Virginia and Ohio. Game On

Romney females poll changes

We love to point out the lame stream media and how they favorite the liberals. We saw a great example this week. It was just two short weeks ago when President Obama had a 25% lead over Romney with women. You could not open a web page, watch a new cast or a talking head that repeated the result of this poll. What a difference a week makes as the next time the poll is out women went the either way and this time Romney only trailed by 7%. What happened is unclear but one thing is for sure we did not hear anything about the change in results. When things are going the liberal way the lame stream has no problem telling the world. When it goes the other way you can see that if you do not come here you will never know it happened. There are plenty of right wing, bloggers and sources to find the truth. It is a shame that you need to hunt for this information when it is good news for Romney and when it is good news for Obama you are saturated by the coverage. We know this is not going to change but we highlight to make sure it does not go unnoticed.

Nemours Mansion & Gardens in Delaware

Have you heard about Nemours Mansion & Gardens in Delaware. The place is set among the 300-acre country estate of the late industrialist and philanthropist Alfred I. DuPont. You have got to see this place if you are in the neighborhood or stopping through. The mansion contains 102 rooms furnished with fine examples of antique furniture, rare rugs, tapestries and outstanding works of art. The mansion and gardens are open for tours from May 1 to November 30 and as always reservations recommended. There are a variety of surfaces and levels in the gardens and grounds. The tour also involves climbing several staircases. Tours last two and a half to three hours and require a $15 per person payment as well as punctuality is a must for any appointment. There is one drawback that there is no picnic allowed on the facilities of the Nemours Mansion and Gardens. There are two elk at the top of the Vista are the work of Prosper Lecourtier, a specialist in animal figures. There are 157 jets at the center of the one acre pool. But when they are turned off as you walk your reflection can be seen in the pool. This is one to take in as you will remember your visit for years to come.

SuperPAC for the under 30’s

Taking a page out of the 2008 election there is a SuperPac getting ready to gather young voters for the GOP. Crossroads Generation, a new super PAC formed with the help of a handful of established GOP groups. The idea is tapping into the economic frustrations of under-30 voters facing little if any job prospects, straddled with gigantic student loans. Most of these targeted voters have been forced to move back home with their parents. The PAC will light up by launching a $50,000 social media ad campaign targeting younger voters in eight swing states, including Ohio and Virginia. Crossroads Generation is drawing upon $750,000 in seed money from GOP organizations like the College Republicans, the Young Republicans, the Republican State Leadership Committee and American Crossroads. This is the king of all super PAC that has raised $100 million so far this election cycle to defeat Obama. The PAC also has roughly 250,000 student-members. They are member of the College Republicans that cover more than 1,800 campuses across the country. We are happy that Conservative and GOP efforts to target the under-30 voters. Groups like Generation Opportunity have tapped into these students uneasiness about the economy and the ballooning costs of a college degree.

This week we highlight a new comer and we cannot believe she has never had a week or been on the countdown. Eva Mendes who was born March 5, 1974 in was born in Miami, Florida and raised in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale. Eva began acting in the late 1990s, and became known after a series of roles in several major Hollywood films, including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hitch, Training Day, We Own the Night and The Spirit. We picked her this week because her new movie Girl in Progress opened and nobody went to see it. We wanted to use this photo and she is smoking hot so we took advantage of the opening. The movie from Lions Gate played in 322 theaters and racked in $1,384,078 in the first weekend. Everyone is still seeing the Avengers and since Johnny Depp rolled a new movie into theaters this week Girl in Progress did not proceed very well, more than likely it is headed for DVD and Blu-ray. Let us focus on the extremely sensual Eva as she always impresses when she walks the red carpet and can make even the smallest role be noticed. This year she is going to make three movies the other two are Holy motors and The Place Beyond the Pines so it looks like a good year for Eva and better for us.

White House Mother’s Day card for healthcare

There is no low this White House will not stoop to. Leave it to them as on Mother’s Day Sunday they released specially tailored e-cards. You would think this is a nice gesture in a campaign season. But there are huge issues as the cards are touting the benefits for moms of the federal health care overhaul, urging people to send the card around to show some appreciation for the mom in your life. The e-card, was posted on the White House website for anyone to download and share. If you are not sick already wait for it here it comes the title of the card Happy Mother’s Day From The Affordable Care Act. Can you even believe that? Well then it goes on to read that Being a mom isn’t a pre-existing condition. Then you can check out the text of the card as it lists a string of stats about how women benefit under the health care overhaul. We so cannot wait for the Supreme Court to rule on the challenge. Here is even more nuggets as the card says that while insurers before the overhaul could deny coverage for women with pre-existing conditions like breast cancer or pregnancy, they will be prohibited from denying coverage over any pre-existing condition starting in 2014. They are just shamless and we feel they are making mistakes of epic proportions.
