There is always an ulterior motive for everything political and this is no different. There was going to be an Attorney General for a state that needed to fight for this case and it could be landmark. Now that a Florida judge struck down the law over concerns about its requirement that people buy health insurance. So there is more than one dog in the fight. We are not sure if the Supreme Court is a place where this battle can be won. More than likely it wil need to uver turned from the ballot box in November of 2012, but that is a ways away. The Supreme Court rarely grants such requests and the Department of Justice urged the Supreme Court to reject the petition, saying there’s plenty of time for the appeals courts to have their say. Another reason to deny is the individual responsibility provision does not go into effect until 2014, so there is more than sufficient time for this case to proceed first in the court of appeals. That being said prepare for a Supreme Court showdown, whether it happens soon or later but it will happen.

We don’t need a federal government imposing one-size-fits-all plan on the entire nation.” The bottom line is there are 47 members of the Republican party that we are sure will vote to repeal the law. The great thing is this is not going away and the democrats can try to hold serve but they are going to need to vote over and over again so they are on the record.
