The Rescue Me finale for the season was nothing more than an ending of a show. They have filmed all the episodes so cutting it half was going to be without a cliffhanger. The ending was still shocking. When you consider Tommy spent the whole season trying to recover from thinking he was going to hell. He quit drinking and as Janet told him is trying to save the world. He is trying to help everyone and falling short all over. The biggest place is with his kids. The greatest twist in last night finale was the finale scene. Tommy has always been able to hear and talk to dead people most of the time he was inebriated. Last night as he sits thinking, his wife is pregnant after forty and not telling him. He walks over to pull the blanket up that had fallen over his now paraplegic godchild. This is the first time Tommy sees an undead person talk to him and it happens in a sober state. The season had many highlights for the firehouse, a fight between black Sean and Franco, the shutting down of the firehouse, the captain standing taller than the chief, and a rescue without equipment. We watched Franco try to kook up with Janet, Tommy does Hook up with Janet, Shiela hooks up with Tommy’s cousin and Lou seems to be on the verge of death. There are only 13 shows left and finale is on 9/11/11 on the ten-year anniversary of 9/11.

To say the last three seasons of Entourage have been lame is an under statement. It seems like ever since Vincent Chase returned to Hollywood leading man status thanks to Martin Scorsese for a lead and the Great Gatsby lead. This made season six the worst ever. The story has evolved as we follow the other characters as spending your life, as part of an entourage is not good for anyone in the end. It is confirmed we are winding down with a full season now and six-episode season in 2011 that will be the end of the series. The first show of the season is a sign of what it to come. Chase was called out for not doing his own states like other Hollywood heavyweights and you can see he felt the pressure of wanting to take his career to that next level. His brother on the other hand is coming to realization that he has been played for a fool. We are sure Eric, his fiancé will be present in some form, and Turtle turned a couple of classes at college into a thriving business in less than 10 shows. The finale for this season is going to have Christina Aguilera performing and this will probably be at the wedding just a guess, not a spoiler alert.
Here is a show that we love because talk about a subject never made for television before. The simple way to state, a Schoolteacher has a second job as a gigolo. He services are being sold by two lady pimps that are two polar opposites. The problem with the show is the lack of confrontation. That friction makes characters you cheer for or against. Last season there was a chance for a scene the gigolo was sent to please his ex-wife. He walked away and left the seen cold. The best part of the show is the women who are paying for the gigolo services. This is another area not explored and makes for great television because you think of how many house wives are sitting art home watching the show thinking if they had a chance would they do it. The idea of a man using a prostitute and the women that are prostitutes you have seen a thousand times. What makes Hung stand out is the gigolo is trying to be everything to everyone and for the first time in his life he is starting to understand woman. When he was married or dating he just dropped his pants and the ladies loved him. Each week we are watching as he tries to navigate how to make a women not only orgasm but meet her on the level that she needs for fulfillment and that is not usually about having sex.
There are not to may episodes left of Rescue Me the show is scheduled to have a finale on September 11, 2011 ten years after the focus of the show. They have 19 shows in the can we believe 9 for this year and 10 for next summer. Ending the show on 9/11 is a great idea as everyone knows that everything Tommy Gavin does for better or worse is a reflection of that day. The show for five seasons had let us inside a firefighter who is torn because he could never do enough that day 9/11. This has spilled out into his job, family, children, and his perception of everything. Last week in the first show of the New Year, we found that Tommy was not left to bleed out as his uncle wanted. We also found out Sheila tried to kill him in the hospital. It only needed 52 minutes to elapse before a sober Tommy found himself with a 1.75 litre of Irish whiskey and sitting in a church. The realization that when all his firefighter friends leading him to the light, how would up in a building full of flames. Tommy is dealing with everything he has done is taking him to Hell and he really is not as good a person as thinks he might be. It only took 55 minutes for him to go sit at the alter in the front of church and continue to tip the bottle as the credits roll. We are not sure how this is going to but it is going to be a hairy ride.

Then you watch them actually make deliveries. If we had to pick one it was the delivery to the mountains but enough we have watched it a few times and now it is your turn.

There will never be a fairy tale ending, never be a happy conclusion, there is just disappointment. We have watched two seasons of United States of Tara and the only constant is no one is ever walking away happy. This always revolves around Tara but it encompasses everyone in the show. The finale saw Charmaine and Nick wedding fall apart. We see Kate cannot bring herself to be happy with Zach. Marshall and Lionel might be happy but both seemed confused on what they need. Neil was happy Charmaine wedding is called off but he knows deep down inside he is never going to be with her. The only happy we can see is piece by piece each week Tara seems to be getting closer to unraveling her past. It appears there are people that do know the truth, keeping it from her, or they have chosen not to remember. The season closed with the Gregsons dancing around their backyard together. The wedding was a disaster and the fall out was everywhere? We see this as them circling the wagons and this existence might be the only true freedom they find as each of them tries to find happiness elsewhere. These twelve episodes did bring some highlights: Buck’s lesbian affair with Pammy, Marshall trying to go straight with Courtney that leads him to Lionel, Shoshana a new alter is Tara’s therapist and Kate taking on the persona of Valhalla Hawkwind. These all come to head in the Tornado episode. We thought the second half was going to bring some happiness to Charmaine, Marshall, Kate and some closure for Tara, none of the above was given. The highlight of the season was after a fade to black; Tara alters to Buck and coldcocks Max a couple of times for sleeping with Pammy.

The Glee finale was not disappointing at all. We never expected them to win at regionals as a first year show you never win it all that what season two is for, case in point Friday night Lights. All that being the Journey mashup performed by the New Directions group included Faithfully, Any Way You Want It, Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin, Don’t Stop Believin’. This medley was not only good theatre, great to watch, have to admit may even want to download from iTunes. The truth is once New Directions headed of the stage the show took a plunge into a melancholy, touchy feely place that was more like the last day of high school then a season finale. The tears jerking moments started to mount up which brought the highs of the competition performance to a distant memory. As far as moving forward, we watched Will told Emma he loved her and Finn told Rachael. Rachael’s mother adopted Quinn’s baby and named her Beth. The relationship that seems lost and not moving anywhere is between Puck and Quinn. The Glee club gets another year based on Sue wanting to continue to harass and beat Will. It was also revealed that Sue voted New Directions first at regionals and it was Olivia Newton John and Rod Remington that did them in. Josh Groban like Rachael but the voting seemed to turn when it was argued that Sue was not a celebrity and did not deserve to have a vote. The season closed with Puck on guitar and Will on the ukulele singing Somewhere over the Rainbow. The best part of this show is the singing numbers and the theme shows like Madonna and Lady Gaga. The dialog is snappy at times and Sue is good for a couple great quotes every show. Overall it was worth watching and as a far as scripted TV with out police or lawyers it is a nice change of pace.

“My name is Jackie and I am Drug Addict – Blow Me”. This was the last line spoken in the finale of Season 2 of Nurse Jackie. We all had seen it coming on as her worlds, were all starting to collide. The start was the affair with Eddie, his friendship with her husband, but once she had the three bags of Oxy she did not need him anymore. He was small collateral damage compared to the other people she was manipulating. The biggest axe to grind due to loss of money is the man she stole the three bags of Oxy off. The next had to be Doctor O’Hara as she went around her husbands back to take money to pay for pharmacy bills. The devious way she used another person x-ray to get a prescription and then forging the number from one refill to ten. The biggest person she has betrayed and hurt is her husband, she cheated on him with Eddie for drugs, she took the money from Doctor O’Hara, and she is high all the time. She is still a good nurse and on top of everything going on her around in the ER. This season we watched as we thought her whole world was going to collapse. She can no longer function without being high. She could not even sit on a couch in a bed and breakfast with nothing to do but be with her family, because she had no pills. The final confrontation scene where Doctor O’Hara and Kevin confront her was anti climatic in the since she blew them off in typically Jackie fashion and left the room to hide in the bathroom. She saw herself on the beach where the season started except this time all alone. You feel that she is going to realize she needs help, she is a fighter and confrontational manipulator so she pushes back that feeling and laughs, then fade to black.

We have seen a couple of heavy hitters leave CNN this list includes Lou Dobbs and Christiane Amanpour. Today we find that Campbell Brown is also going to exit her CNN post. Brown, has worked for CNN since 2007. Her show never caught fire and CNN as a whole has been losing viewers. She really never stood a chance as FOX has been killing CNN for years but the uptick in viewers for MSNBC has been a surprise to everyone. It would appear this is at the expense of CNN. Campbell Brown has averaged only 591K viewer which is surprisingly higher than we thought. This could be that people are watching John King and are too lazy to turn the channel before Larry King. When it comes to cable primetime newsformation the king is Bill O’Reilly’s ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ on Fox News that has an average of 3.34 million viewers a night. She was even losing to Keith Olbermann’s ‘Countdown’ on MSNBC which has an average of one million morons tuning in. Campbell will continue to host her show ‘Campbell Brown,’ until CNN finds a replacement. The first name floated by the lame stream media who love to eat their own Eliot Spitzer, in a ‘Crossfire’ style debate show. The network is tired the format is old and no one wants to hear CNN preach from the White House talking points. There was a day when CNN paved the way but the day has passed when the face of the franchise is a 76 year old who has been married seven times and in his time spot since Ronald Reagan was president.

We are not sure where to go with V. It did keep out interest even though it was only 12 shows in all. It was on four weeks in November then it disappeared for close to four months before it returned. There can be full disclosure we never watched the 1983 version. What is amazing about the show that might be the reason we are watching is after a full season there are so many questions unanswered. It had a finale and does return for season two. The finale had some cliffhangers but the overall path of the show is as cloud as the pilot episode. The obvious questions are what do they want? Also if the infiltrated the earth already why are there only a couple of boots on the ground? At the same time, where is all the supposed fifth column? Would not Anna have felt her army being executed? We believe that Tyler is coveted because he is alien span that is why the mother and father bone marrow did not match. Now that Chad Decker is aware, what will he do? Renegade priest Father Jack Landry is all in but at what cost. Will Ryan give them all away? Are they really lizard-like? It feels like the reason we do not know is because each answer will make the show seem all to silly for anyone to keep watching.

Here is an updated list of show that appears that they are on life support at each network. The case for most of these shows they have finished all filming, they have not been cancelled, or they are playing out the last episodes and hope the show might catch fire. More than likely every show on this list will not be back. The ABC network is getting ready to pull the string on FlashForward, The Deep End and The Forgotten. The CBS network is rumoring to put an end to the shows, Cold Case as well as Numb3rs making no future episodes. The NBC network listed Trauma as more than likely not to return to their airwaves. There was no surprise over at The CW Melrose Place is on life support and the beating heart is getting fainter by the day. These shows are still listed on the rooster of show the networks have, as they have not been cancelled yet. They also have not been renewed or made any new shows in a while. The other key sign as with Numb3rs the actors have been allowed to sign other deals for other shows. That is usually a sign there is nothing left to do and it is only a formality of waiting for contracts to expire to drop the hammer and not pay buyouts to shut a show down.
This week we highlight number nine from 2008 and number four in 2009in our top 51.Carrie Marie Underwood yesterday she was named Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row. She was the first women nominated in 12 years last year. Since winning season four of American Idol, she has released two albums sold over ten million units and has a slew of number one records. She is not only an amazing talent as a singer, she is drop-dead gorgeous. There is something else about Carrie, she never is caught in the wrong place doing something bad, never wears the wrong outfit, and never shows too much skin. When she sings it seems effortless, last night she started the show with Miranda Lambert singing a CCR song. When the guitars and vocals were all jamming you could here Carrie in here high register over everyone else. She was spot on as usual and killed it without problem. She is deserving of this award as between Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, they have brought country music to fans of a whole new generation, as well as a fresh pop sound. She is beautiful with great legs, stunning eyes that draw you in and an angelic voice that can blow you away. She is the Entertainer of Year and one of the hottest looking women in country music today.
The build up to the Spartacus Finale was weeks in the making there were so many people that were looking for revenge. The people who seen advanced copies said that if you thought the violence was too much, this episode was going to make those look like a Disney movie. The finale can only be described in one word Awesome. Everything you thought could happen, everything you hoped would did, everyone that deserved to be killed was, and the series can move to the next part of Spartacus life. Spartacus was real and history books tells us after he slaughtered everyone in the ludus located outside Capua including slave owner Lentulus Batiatus, he become leader of an army of close to 70,000 men. The speech he gave in the final scene is the beginning of the legend of Spartacus. The alliance created between Crixus and Oenomaus to draft the plan and execute it to perfection. The best part of the final episode was the revenge of the people wronged, Crixus killing his baby in Lucretia, Aurelia wife of Varro killing Numerius, Ilithyia leaving them all to die by locking them in the lodus, and watching Spartacus slice Lentulus Batiatus throat while his wife last breathe. There is some intrigue as Ashur and Ilithyia were the only two that were not killed on screen. We are not sure where they go from here for the next season but Kill Them All will go down as one of the best finales we have ever seen.

One can only watch and hope that this husband and wife team comes out of the adventure with only some scratches and we hope they find a renewed love in the wild adventure.
