President Barack Obama is having one of those careful what you wish for moments. The transparency comment has become quite a hot button. The administration is delaying the release of an internal CIA report on the agency’s Bush-era secret detention and interrogation program. The report was expected to be released Friday, but the CIA is still holding on to the document. The American Civil Liberties Union, which filed a FOIA lawsuit for the release of all documents relating to the CIA’s interrogation program. This latest set back inside the administration might be an internal fight over transparency and secrecy are budding heads. The report is a comprehensive look at everything the agency had been doing related to detention and interrogation. The Freedom of Information Act is being used by the ACLU to obtain the information. The CIA is using the idea that there are states secrets both obtained and used that should never be public knowledge. The funny thing about this whole thing is the states we are trying to torture for information would never have such a proceeding in their countries. No matter what side of the issue you are on, this is what make this country the best form of government that has ever been created and will stand up, and take on all comers and always be the last one standing. Then help rebuild the very nation that attempted to bring us down.

There are times things get buried in the media, this week it could happen because there is so much going on, between elections in Iran, Healthcare, Economy struggles it has not been a banner week for the Obama administration. In case you missed it Capricia Marshall the President Barack Obama choice for Chief of Protocol officer does not pay taxes either. It might be we have heard the story so much we are numb. If you had never heard of the position, they handle official visits of dignitaries at the White House, Blair House and Foggy Bottom. The protocol chief is housed at the State Department In case you do not remember Capricia Marshall she was the White House social secretary during the Clinton administration. Turns out like a few of the other appointment she did not pay her taxes at all in 2005 and 2006. She blames the mail service for losing the returns. Imagine the bad luck not only did the post office lose her returns in 2005 they did it again in 2006. Since she owed money both years you think she might have known when the check was not cashed, wink wink. This assumes she actually wrote a check. Another day another tax cheat, Democrats love to raise taxes but they sure hate paying them.

President Barack Obama economic stimulus plan promise to create or save 3.5 million jobs by the end of next year. The deceptive game the administration is using has come full circle. So here is the fuzzy math to borrow an old saying. The white House wants a $1.50 return on every dollar spent. Then for every 1% growth in the economy there should be one million jobs created or saved. The formula is stimulus money times a multiplier, divided by gross domestic product. This is how the White House can come up with 3.5 percent, or they will create 3.5 million jobs. So when you hear the White take credit for creating or saving 150,000 the number they are arriving at is based on their own formula. In another words, this is how much of your tax money we have spent so that equals all these jobs. The problem is that as long as they keep spending our money they will hit the made up number because it is not based on the real economy. The true number s need to be culled from unemployment figures, manufacturing and construction data, and county-by-county, state-by-state job reports. This summer you will hear President Obama has promised to create 600,000 jobs by the end of the summer, they way the government is spending money this should be no problem using this formula. The proof is if the economy improves, none of this may matter. The total number of people on the unemployment insurance dropped while new claims rose slightly. The total unemployment insurance rolls fell by 148,000 to 6.69 million in the week ending June 6, the largest drop in more than seven years. But nearly half of recipients at the end of last month had exhausted the 26 weeks of benefits provided under the regular state program without finding work. Let’s go President Obama spend some more of our grandchildren’s money so we can pretend you are creating and saving jobs.
The hold and love affair with the Clinton days has finally ended. There is the view that the great days of a pre 9/11world, were the best in the nations history. The person at the helm that received all the accolades for the success was the President Bill Clinton and the eight-year administration. When President Barack Obama narrowly defeated Senator Hillary Clinton, it was viewed that she should be his running mate. This snub of the first women to receive over 18 million votes to be President was a sign of the shine wearing off. She did land the Secretary of State job in the cabinet but it is not clear if that was to get her away from being a dissenting voice to the administration. Then last week Terry McAuliffe a Clinton partner and DNC loyalist lost an election when he out spent his opponent two to one. Then we find out that the new North Miami high school will be named after former NBA star Alonzo Mourning, rather than the first female U.S. Attorney General, Janet Reno. Janet Reno was a longtime Miami-Dade state attorney before serving as the country’s attorney general from 1993 to 2001 under the President Clinton administration. The naming committee decided on the Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High School Biscayne Bay Campus. In fairness, the Mourning family has done a lot of good work with schools in the Miami area, and the huge Cuban population of south Florida never got over Janet Reno sending of Emilio Estefan back to Cuba.

These days a great resource to have is an Anonymous IP Geo Location address on the web. The folks at IP2Proxy™ have a simple Web solution that simplifies anonymous proxy server detection and turns it as simple as a query of IP address from a local database. If you do not know about Anonymous or Open proxy servers, they are Web servers meant to hide the real identity or IP address. If you are a company, which has credit card usage on the Internet you want to know where your customers are coming from. Scammers will use anonymous proxy server to perform online transaction to avoid being identified. IP2Proxy™ detection algorithm checks a number of servers and posts the IP address to detect anonymous open proxy servers that are in use. A proxy list of anonymous proxy IP addresses is released to download every 24-hour. This is an important need for any company that has unknown visitors to their website. They also provide a free detection tool script on their site that can show you just how much this type of thing happens. This way you can watch on your website and highlight the results of the proxy detection of your visitors. Check it out below as we just copy and pasted the HTML code into this post to show you how it works.
John Hinckley, who tried to kill President Ronald Reagan is now allowed to spend more time away from his psychiatric hospital increasing the length of his visits to his mother’s hometown of Williamsburg, Va., from six nights at a time to nine and he can even apply for a driver’s license, said U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman. Hinckley will be required to carry a GPS-enabled cell phone to track his whereabouts. Judge Friedman found that Hinckley’s health will probably improve with more freedom and that he would not be a danger to himself or others. Hinckley has been committed to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington since March 30, 1981 when he shot and wounded President Ronald Reagan, press secretary James Brady, a Secret Service agent and a police officer, to impress actress Jodie Foster. Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman said Hinckley still suffers from narcissistic personality disorder, exhibiting signs of grandiosity and self-importance, but not as intense as in 1981. He also can be deceptive, guarded, defensive, and sometimes secretive. Well sounds like he will be a fine upstanding citizens then Judge Friedman. This man shot at the President of the United States, enabled congress to enact the Brady Bill, and claimed it was for attention of a 19-year-old actress from California. There should be no parole if you attempt to harm the President is should be a death sentence.

MySpace is cutting nearly 30 percent of its work force about 420 people. They felt bloated an ineffective as the MySpace staff grew to large. This will bring the MySpace staffing level more in line with FaceBook. Just two months in as CEO Owen Van Natta is making the tough decisions. The news out yesterday that the latest comScore showed FaceBook has caught MySpace in monthly U.S. visitors for the first time both had about 70 million users. The MySpace staff will be around 1,000 compared to the FaceBook staff of 850. MySpace is turning more of a profit base on last year with MySpace generated about $605 million in global advertising revenue last year, compared with $250 million for FaceBook. We had rumors that this coming as far back as a month ago. Then it went quiet of course the estimated number was much less and it wound up being 12% higher. The good news is it seems that Newscorp is serious about keeping MySpace and finding away to turn it around. The problem is there is not enough time in the day to keep up with to much social media. MySpace does let users change the look of their pages more than FaceBook but changes are time consuming and internet users are spread thin there might not be enough room for MySpace to grow on the user level. The corporate and entertainment arena might be the only real place for growth.
President Barack Obama and his administration are once again closing another door on the white house of transparency. Do you remember when he ran for office and the speech at the inauguration? He told us the age of hidden deals at the White House were over. This reference was used as fact, it was a widely held opinion that President George Bush did everything in a cloak of darkness. The President of hope and change has decided that declining to release documents that would identify visitors to the White House, embracing a legal position taken by the Bush administration, is the kind of change we need. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington were denied access to Secret Service records, including White House entry and exit logs, which would identify coal and energy industry visitors. Clearly taken a page from the President Bush book, the one they despised so much, you know the one they used to roll on to victory. The Homeland Security Department has decided that most of the records the group seeks are not agency records subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act, those records are governed by the Presidential Records Act and not subject to disclosure. It sounds likes three card Monty just when you think you found the queen, flip the card, you look like the joker. President Obama needs to be careful as the Bush administration fought on the same legal ground for several years in a case that is now before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Every time they tell me that this President is different and that is why they voted for him, it really is hard not to scream out “We Told You so.”
