Congress can work together and when it does it seems shocking. There are about 160 million Social Security payroll tax payers and there are renewed unemployment benefits for millions more. The lesson is congress can act when it needs to this bill sped through both the House and Senate and was on its way to President Barack Obama in record time. The bill itself keeps the two percentage point cut in the payroll tax over the past year continued and jobless benefits averaging about $300 a week for the long-term unemployed. Here is the crazy part this bipartisan measure proves that as long as there is something for both side deals can be reached. The Senate approved the measure on a bipartisan 60-36 vote minutes after the House passed it on a sweeping 293-132 vote. We are sure the President and lame stream press will say that it had nothing to do with the GOP and they fought it all the way. But this is proof that if you put a fair bill in congress that gives from both sides it will pass and the country’s business can move forward. We know the lame streamers will not say why did the other thing die or seem like such a battle. The end of the day congress is looking for something that is fair to all parties and this administration has spent three years pumping a all or nothing agenda with little or catastrophic results let us hope this is a new day and a new light has shown the way.
