When you are stuck on the side of the road there is no worse feeling. If you are without coverage to help you can only relie on friends and family to help out. It would be nice if we all had a relative that worked for Good Sam Roadside Assistance, this for most of us is not true. The best thing is to make sure you have a good emergency kit in your car that includes these items. First we must say we live in the northeast so you need to be ready for the colder elements when you breakdown. The most important thing is to have a set of Booster Cables and a tow rope at least 12 feet long. You will want to make sure you have a collapsible shovel, a screwdriver set, a can of fix a flat and an emergency triangle. A flashlight, batteries, light sticks, a Fabric Blanket, a pair of Knit Gloves, hand warmers, candles and a poncho. If you have all these items and remember to test and check the regularly you should be able to survive a breakdown by fixing the problem, supplies to last until help comes or the ability to keep warm if you have to walk for help.
