President Obama is playing the blame game and putting the blame on everyone except the man in the mirror. We understand he is facing big Democratic losses in November. Typical fashion he went on the offensive and blamed Republicans and election-year politics for upsetting his efforts to do more to jumpstart the economy. We watched as he said he knows there is a high jobless rate and voters in the Nov. 2 midterm elections will blame him for economic hard times and will take it out on congressional Democrats. It was fun to see him actually have to say as president and having Democrats control the House and the Senate, people can ask what you have done. The answer of course is to stick with the policies that are going to move us forward versus the policies that will get us back into a mess. Can you imagine House Minority Leader John Boehner becoming House speaker when Republicans win control on Election Day? The problem is when a Republican plan is floated it is ignored then the President goes out on the campaign trail and says they only block ideas and have none of their own. Republicans have united around a proposal to cut domestic spending to 2008 levels and freeze all tax rates for two years. We listened to President Obama for 75-minutes from East Room news conference. He spoke about 9/11 burning copies of the Quran, and that U.S. is still hunting for 9/11 attacks mastermind Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida’s No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahiri. You can tell Washington knows that everything changes come November and they best start laying plans for those now and gave up on last minute pork.
