We are not sure if former eBay chief executive Meg Whitman will have enough juice in the end to win the race for California governor. She does have a large lead in the Republican race for California governor. Whitman leads state insurance commissioner Steve Poizner by 24 points with less than two weeks to go before the June 8 primary. They have both poured way too much money into the race as billionaire Whitman has donated $68 million to her campaign from her personal fortune, and Poizner has given $24.4 million to his campaign. This battle is only the beginning as the poll also showed in a general election contest against Democratic nominee, Attorney General Jerry Brown, she trails 44 percent to 38 percent. We do not know how a state like California which has had a run of Republican governors for years keeps liberal elites from power. The chronological goes Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Republican from 2003–2009, Governor Pete Wilson a Republican from 1991–1999 and Governor George Deukmejian Republican from 1983–1991. The last Democrat was Governor Jerry Brown from 1979–1983 who is riding back to glory in hopes to regain the position, he did just turn 73 last month. Massachusetts runs the same kind of dynamic Republican Governors while most of the other seats are all democratic. The last democratic governor rode in the coat tails of anti Republican sentiment that fueled Barack Obama to the presidency. The better news is it looks like Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina has become the clear front-runner in the race to take on Barbara Boxer for her U.S. Senate seat. These will be two tough races but if Republicans can make the headway here they will be a great night across the country for Republicans.

We have not beaten the President up over the handling of the oil spill in the Gulf. We have not claimed this is going to be his Katrina. Even though in the first 40 days after Katrina President Bush visited the region seven times. President Obama has been to the region twice and yesterday was basically a flyover on his way to vacation. There was the photo opportunity of him kneeling down to pick up tar balls on an oil-fouled beach. The BP drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded on April 20, killing 11 workers and beginning to send millions of gallons of oil spewing into the water, the crude still flowing freely, and criticism has been increasingly aimed shockingly at President Obama. The government does not know what to do as they do not have the technology. This does fly in the face of this administration who has being telling us is the answer for everything. The AP also reported that early in the morning in advance of the president’s arrival, hundreds of workers clad in white jumpsuits and rubber gloves hit the beaches to dig oily debris from the sand and haul it off. Workers refused to say who hired them. We think we all know whom. The best part is people like Chris Matthews, James Carville, and other liberal elites demanding more out their messiah.

It must be Friday before a long weekend, which can only mean one of two things. First everyone is not paying attention to the news as they get ready for travel and festivities. The other is the White House is going to release a mistake they hope get buried out of the news cycle. Today we think they over reached as they were forced to disclose there was a backstage political bargaining, conducted by the President Barack Obama’s White House. They enlisted Bill Clinton to try to ease Rep. Joe Sestak out of Pennsylvania’s Senate primary with a job offer. The biggest problem is the admission means this is not going away. We can put away the obvious his repeated promises to run an open government that was above back room deals. The job offer from President Clinton was about a possible post on a presidential board. We know that President Clinton and President Obama shared a private lunch at the White House on Thursday, which more than likely where everyone went over their side of the story. Blogo in Illinois said when it all comes out he will be vindicated. If President Obama has nothing to do with that and nothing to do with this it is really hard to believe. The layout is simple what was Bill Clinton authorized to offer, President Obama must have sign off on the conversation. We are not sure if this is illegal but it clearly is unethical. We have heard for weeks, the White House insisting officials did not behave inappropriately but had declined to elaborate.

If you have missed President Obama press conferences you get a return engagement on Thursday. That right he is back for the first time in 308 days, President Obama will confront the White House press corps in what they call a news conference, although it resembles more of choreographed dance. You will not hear this many places but President Bush never went more than 204 days during his entire presidency. Remember on the campaign trail when President Obama claimed transparency and holding a news conference every month. If you have been keeping track President Obama has held just four prime-time news conferences in the first 485 days of his term. His last news conference was filled with problems as he called Cambridge police out for acting stupidly over the arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates. This would eventually lead to beergate at the Whitehouse. This will be a big view for us junkies to see if the messiah is going to get the robes pulled back over BP Oil Spill, Immigration, Healthcare, and Republican victories as of late. We think that they are going to give him a pass as they always do, we just hope there can be a couple of haymakers thrown.

We used to think Vice President Biden was just like that dumb cousin everyone has in there family. You know they are allowed to talk and you even have to listen but they are harmless. When we heard what Vice President Biden said during a speech earlier this month to the European Parliament, we want him to keep his mouth shut. We know this administration has Europe envy why we do not know. This time the Vice president went too far and as Americans we are offended. First, he demeaned the role of Washington, D.C.’s as the world’s center of liberty. Then he went on to say in his address in Belgium, that Brussels considering its rich history and abundance of international institutions could well be the capital of the free world. He suggested that Washington, D.C., is undeserving of that title. The quote was “But it seems to me that in this great city, which boasts 1,000 years of history and which serves as the capital of Belgium, the home of the European Union, and the headquarters for NATO, this city has its own legitimate claim to that title.” What a jackass. The reason the center of Liberty is Washington DC and in the United States and nowhere else is because we have fought and died for it, we did something about. Belgium was ruled by the French and the Austrians for most of the 17th and 18th centuries, it was not until 1831, that Belgium had a parliamentary democracy. Women could not even vote until 1949. Belgium stayed neutral instead of helping France and England in WWII and forced the battle to happen right in their backyard. Leaving all that alone we know the US has bailed out Europe in every major conflict. We are the world’s center of liberty because we have 30 million immigrants that prove it, we have boots on the ground in every corner of the world proving it, all Belgium has is a buildings and talking, Washington is action and change.

There have been dark days in the Republican Patry, there have also been times when no wanted any Democrat in office. When these melt down happen the full blown party explosion becomes what the other side views as comical. They must sit around in strategy meeting discussing how easy it is going to be. Republican have to gloat a little it has been a good run since that dark day back in November 2008. Today we would like to use Hawaii as a place of thanks. There is a family feud in almost always Democratic state of Hawaii that could have them electing its first Republican congressman in decades. The GOP candidate is Charles Djou and on Saturday in a special election he is running against two Democrats. The two democrats are splitting their party vote that might mean the loss of a Democratic seat in Congress. This should also bother President Barack Obama remember he was supposedly born in Hawaii. If you do not know who an election works in Hawaii it is all-mail election voter were sent ballots almost three weeks ago have until Saturday to return them. There are 14 candidates seeking the seat it looks like the battle between State Senate President Colleen Hanabusa and U.S. Rep. Ed Case will make it an easy victory for Charles Djou. Our man Djou has run a disciplined campaign focused on taxes and government spending at a time when Hawaii’s tourism-driven economy remains troubled. He bashes Obama’s health care and economic stimulus policies, and in a radio interview last month said he is running to take the “exact opposite” positions from Obama. How can anyone not vote for that? The fix could be in though as already an estimated 46 percent of the ballots have been returned as of Wednesday. This is higher than the 13.3 percent who voted during the last special congressional election. This is only temp job as the winner will have to run to keep the seat in November.

The left wants you take wake up today thinking everything is fine. They think because a Democrat in Pennsylvania’s 12th congressional district held on to seat they had since 1974. Let us tell you why the sky is falling on the left. Voters soundly rejected one of President Barack Obama’s hand-picked candidates and forced another into a runoff. If we go back to Massachusetts, New Jersey, West Virginia the president has a worse winning percentage than the Orioles. It was great to Senator Arlen Turncoat Specter became the fourth Democrat in seven months to lose a high-profile race despite the president’s active involvement. This has got to have them shaking their head in the White House. Can they keep trotting out the president after continually demonstrating such a lack of ability to help Democrats when November rolls around? There could come a point when President Obama is stuck a home at the White House in October because having him on your campaign trail is about as lucky as saying you fought in Vietnam when the closest you can was a Toys For Tots box in Georgia. Lefties here is the thing we knew we were not going to win them all so far so good and we are just getting started.
