Here is another great government program that comes off with the efficiency of a rush hour traffic jam. All of you liberal democrats and safety net screamers should take note. This is where your healthcare is headed. The government demonstrated they cannot do clash for clunkers; they mishandled the $8,000 tFirst Time Homes Buyers Credit so why would we think that Cash for Clunkers program would work. The program that offered rebates on more energy efficient appliances ran out of money in less than two hours after it began. This is not a knock as it is great that so many people bought new appliances to replace old inefficient ones. Let start with its execution the website handling the rebate forms opened at 10 a.m. and promptly crashed because of the demand. The demand was so high that the pool of rebate cash ran out before noon. That means when the government offered a hand out of 5.5 million tax payer dollars it had taken less than two hours to give it all away and crash the site dispersing it. This program has nearly $300 million available nationwide for the program from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). There were eight other states that did this on Earth day Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and California which is the largest in the country with $35.2 million in funding. We cannot wait for the government to start handing out Healthcare to 300 million people as we as the 30 million with no coverage based on these other programs.

Yesterday we told you about Arizona wanting President Obama to show his birth certificate to run for re-election in that state. There is one state that is sick to death of the over mentioning of the now infamous President Obama Birth Certificate and that state is Hawaii. So much so, that the Hawaiian lawmakers are moving closer to passing a measure allowing the state to ignore repeated requests for President Obama’s birth certificate. They had a conference committee unanimously vote to advance the bill to final votes in the House and Senate. The proposal allows state government agencies not to respond to follow-up requests for information if they determine that the subsequent request is duplicative or substantially similar to a previous request. The amount of requests they receive from people who claim that President Obama is ineligible to be president as he was actually born outside the United States. This would mean that the election of President Obama should not have happened, as he did not meet the constitutional requirement for being president. This must be a nuisance for Hawaiian officials as President Obama say it exists they say it exists but if it did we would have seen it by now. We can say one thing either it is lost which is bad or it says something no one wants the general public to know which is worse.

There has been much speculation about the whereabouts and even existence of President Obama’s birth certificate. The liberal lame stream media were so flabbergasted the resorted to name calling, if someone mentions the subject they dismiss you as a “birther.” Nothing is set in stone but the Arizona House voted for a provision that would require President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate if he hopes to be on the Arizona ballot if he runs for reelection. We say if because we are hoping and the way all his Democrats have decided this year to retire maybe he will as well. The House vote was 31-22 to add the provision to a separate bill. The measure still faces a formal vote. It would require U.S. presidential candidates who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona to submit documents proving they meet the constitutional requirements to be president. They claim they have no reason to doubt President Obama’s citizenship and this is a great way to end all doubt. A wise man once told us we trust everyone that does not mean we do not cut the deck. The other part of this is Arizona has only 10 electoral votes. Nine out the last ten presidential elections they have gone for the Republican candidate. The last time the state was blue was in 1996.

The bottom line is free speech is free speech and the Supreme Court struck down a federal law that was aimed at banning videos depicting graphic violence against animals, saying that it violates the constitutional right to free speech. Chief Justice John J. Roberts Jr., writing for an eight-member majority, said the law was overly broad and not allowed by the First Amendment. He rejected the government’s argument that whether certain categories of speech deserve constitutional protection depends on balancing the value of the speech against its societal costs. Let us hope that when he wrote “The First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech does not extend only to categories of speech that survive an ad hoc balancing of relative social costs and benefits” it is something the court can use moving forward. This is another defeat for Animal rights groups, 26 states and best of all the Obama administration in support of the law. They argued that videos showing animal cruelty should be treated like child pornography rather than granted constitutional protection. Nobody wants to see people making videos of animals getting killed for any reason, but just like the way the left has been trying to take away Gun rights for years you have to be careful. Today they stop you from making videos showing this content tomorrow it is that content, pretty soon the government decides all content.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee a group that helps Republicans get elected to the Senate is pressuring GOP Governor Charlie Crist to drop out of the Florida Senate race rather than run as an independent. There is pretty much no way will Crist continue running as a Republican against former state House speaker Marco Rubio. The latest poll shows Crist is trailing Rubio badly in the GOP primary but could win a three-way race with him and likely Democratic nominee U.S. Representative Kendrick Meek. Crist must decide by April 30 if he will remain in the Republican primary or take his chances in the general election without a party. He cannot switch after the primary. This is a strange fall from grace as it was only a year ago the polls showed Crist ahead of Rubio by 46 percentage points. Last week the same poll showed Rubio ahead by 23 percentage points. Rubio has collected endorsements from 2008 presidential candidates Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney who campaigned with Rubio last week, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. Romney might be giving some payback to Crist who in 2006, accepted when Romney flew to Tallahassee as head of the Republican Governors Association with a $1 million check to help Crist run for governor. Then watch Crist throw his support in the eleventh hour to John McCain for President in 2008.

How many times are we going to get to post about this? This country was founded on free speech and the end of tyranny. There have been two points of view on most issues since the beginning of the writing of the constitution. It is amazing how much the Tea Party is felt as a threat by liberals. They are so blinded that a movement which is in opposition to their messiah President Obama they fell it must be stopped. They have gone to great lengths to discredit, intimidate, and impersonate a free speech movement in the United States. The latest in shocking is an Oregon teacher who announced his intention to dismantle and demolish the Tea Party. This is someone who is shaping minds, Jason Levin, is a media teacher at Conestoga Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon. The penalty has had Levin suspended as the school district is investigating whether he used district computers to spread his political message or worked on his Crash the Tea Party Web site during school hours. Levin has said he would seek to embarrass Tea Partiers by attending their rallies dressed as Adolf Hitler, carrying signs bearing racist, sexist and anti-gay epithets and acting as offensively as possible. The Tea Party understands his right to free speech unfortunately Mr. Levin does not see the constitution the same. The bigger insult is he has been placed on paid administrative leave until his school district finishes its investigation into whether his political activity crossed the line. This was not a problem until parents had become outraged by the severity of his political activism, and many have told the school board members that it has no place in a public school system. This is funny as the Pandora ’s Box is these same parents supported teachers who wore Obama buttons during the 2008 presidential election.

These stories are just not getting old. Everyday we find another democrat who voted for healthcare reform finding re-election prospects looking grim. They were so proud to be across Pennsylvania Avenue as they jammed Healthcare down America unwanted throat. They tried to tell us American would forget and once they found out how good the bill really was they would all come around. We are now in April and it is still not happening. The latest re-election trouble is for Senator Barbara Boxer a 69-year-old liberal Democrat. She has been in congress for three terms and is seeking a fourth term this fall. Six years ago the darling Boxer won a 20-point landslide but now faces the fight of her political career. President Barack Obama heads to Los Angeles on Monday to help raise money for Boxer, who is running about even with several potential Republican challengers, an alarming sign in the Democratic-leaning state. This has not proved to help any of the people he has campaigned for as we believe he is 0-3. California has 12.6 percent unemployment rate tops the national average, home foreclosures have hit record highs and a budget crunch has led to deep cuts in the state’s college system. Republican happy to unseat Boxer are state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, who was endorsed by the Tea Party, businesswoman Carly Fiorina and a former Representative Tom Campbell. Since the state has a huge margin of democrats the race will come down to independents. Recent polls show more than half the state’s independents, have an unfavorable opinion of the senator.

The Tea Party Express rolled through Boston his week and made plenty of stops elsewhere. They also have come forward with a list of candidates they will be putting their support behind in the fall elections. The most surpising was they have endorsed Assemblywoman Sharron Angle to unseat U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. We are sure she is a fine a candidate but currently third in the polls heading toward the Republican primary. The front runner is Nevada GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden and Danny Tarkanian, son of legendary University of Nevada-Las Vegas basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian. The Tea Party group decided on Angle as she is a true conservative in the race as she is a anti-tax activist and truly one of the people. This is important because the Republicans need to make sure Harry Reid goes down. We are hoping that whoever comes out the primary gets the support of the nation, as a national loss for Harry Reid is a mandate for screwing over the people of the nation on Healthcare Reform. There was other Tea Party new as thye are taking aim on some races as all in the GOP must the Senate Specter, Lincoln, and in the House, Markey, Grayson, Hill, Frank, Titus, Spratt, Perriello, Connolly, and Mollohan. Some days it is hard to understand what some people are thinking. We wonder how conclusions are drawn without thought. We wonder if this just a mistake or a cold calculation. The Navy has decided to name a ship for the late Representative John Murtha. We understand there has always been this thing between the Marines and the Navy. There are many Americans that are not even soldiers who have never forgot or forgave the Pennsylvania Democrat for accusing U.S. Marines of murdering Iraqi civilians using the word in cold blood if we remember back to that day in 2005. Representative John Murtha was the chairman of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a former Marine Corps officer so the Navy is naming its newest San Antonio-class amphibious transport-dock LPD 26 for Murtha. The San Antonio-class ships support Marines and can carry roughly 700 troops, their equipment and vehicles. What even makes this more annoying is these vessels are usually named after cities, calling this the USS Murtha will be a break from that tradition. Murtha did serve in Korea and received a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam. In 1974 he became the first Vietnam War combat veteran elected to Congress and went on to serve his Pennsylvania district for 18 terms. Just like Senator John Kerry In 2002, Murtha voted to authorize President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq, then wound up being against it. We think it is odd to give this honor to this man at this time. That being said twenty years from now who will remember him or want to give him an honor but it would be easier to swallow.
