Two more states Sue over Healthcare Bill

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

There have been two more states added to the roster of states that are not happy with a federal law that mandates their state to have Healthcare. The governors of Arizona and Nevada say their states will join fourteen others suing the federal government over health care reform. The announcement came from Governor Jan Brewer announced Arizona was joining the suit claiming the bill signed April one that gave the authority to go around the state’s Democratic attorney general, Terry Goddard, who had originally declined to sue on the state’s behalf. Everyone knows the bill signed by President Obama is unconstitutional in part because it requires people to buy private health insurance. We also know in reality this is a fight that is all uphill and winning a suit would be unlikely. The other Governor that stepped up was Jim Gibbons who signed an executive order for Nevada to join the multistate challenge to the federal legislation. He faced the same struggle with an Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto, a Democrat, who refused an earlier directive from Gibbons to join the suit.

Date Night Opens Friday April 9th

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.We wanted to let you know about the new movie Date Night which opens this weekend on Friday April 9, 2010. Date Night Movie is going to be the runaway hit everyone will be talking about when you get to work on Monday. We know this because it stars two of the funniest and biggest stars from both the big and small screens Steve Carell from the Office and Get Smart and Tina Fey from 30 Rock and Baby Mama. If you have seen any of the previews you know that the movie has parts for Mark Wahlberg, Leighton Meester, Mark Ruffalo, Mila Kunis, and James Franco with an all-star cast, this is going to a be a winner. The plot of Date Night is about a couple from the suburbs the Fosters, Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey) is doing their routine which is a weekly dinner date. This weekend they are in for a lot more than usual. As the night turns into weight more than the couple are used to have happen to them. The high jinks that ensue have them engaging in things a normal date night does not include, breaking and entering, car chases and even a shootout. This move is going to be great because you can even in the previews the chemistry between Carell and Fey is magic. One can only watch and hope that this husband and wife team comes out of the adventure with only some scratches and we hope they find a renewed love in the wild adventure.

Harry Reid Doubles Down In Vegas

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Filed under could not have happened to a nicer guy, Harry Reid has embarked on a campaign swing through his home state. The democrats and liberal media want you to believe Americans are going to forget the games that went on in capital hill over the last year. It must really sting to find out that like everything else they were wrong. At a pizza shop a voter refused to shake his hand and another protester waved a sign, “Welcome to Harry Reid’s throw Nevada under the bus tour.” A woman confronted him with two pages of statistics that she said showed Washington is ripping off Nevada. If this was not enough to make you think your run of luck is over Reid’s customized bus was stuck in a snow storm on a mountain pass, and the Senate leader squashed his hand in the bus door. The campaign has released only spotty information on the location of most of his events and the crowds are hand picked to make sure there is plenty of video for commercials and the web. Reid is running for a fifth term in a new role to him incumbent underdog. The funny thing is there is no clear cut opponent in the November election. The problem is when you look at the polls the Senate Majority Leader Reid attracts just 39% to 42% of the Nevada vote when matched against three Republican opponents. Two of his potential opponents now top the 50% level of support. As Dandy Don Meredith used to sing turn out the lights the party is over. When you are losing to an unnamed opponent it is bad when you are losing to three of them you are done.
