The hero worship continues you would think they could wait until at least half the true book has been written or something positive has been accomplished, but of course they can a will not wait. Open TV and Film, the London-based production company, is developing a TV mini-series based on Barack Obama’s days on the campaign trail. Let us relive the glory days of when we believed he was going to change the world. Open, has optioned the Newsweek journalist Richard Woolfe’s book Renegade: The Making of a President. The author was granted carte blanche access to Obama during the campaign. The biggest flash on this story is the entire buzz on who will get to play President Obama and doesn’t everyone from Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, to even Morgan Freeman want to give up their table at the Ivy to play their hero. The idea is to get it on the air in the next 12 to 18 months; maybe by then the President might have created some jobs. The story is going to be framed as a multi-layered portrait of Obama, not just hero worship. We wonder if there has ever been a President that demanded so much praise for doing so little and fooling so many.

President Obama is turning the Federal Reserve into his own little research program. He appears ready to name Janet Yellen as vice chairwoman of the central bank that has huge influence over the American economy. This of course would need Senate approval and we hoped that he asked if she paid her taxes. You might remember her as most of President Obama appointments she also worked for President Clinton as a top adviser to him on monetary policy. If the Senate confirms her and his two other nominees, this president will have appointed five of the seven members of the Federal Reserve Board. Yellen right now is serving as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. The job nominated for is the vice chair, and making her the second-highest ranking Fed official, serving directly under Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, who has begun a second term. The two other nomination are Sarah Raskin a Maryland commissioner of financial regulation and Peter Diamond is an economist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As far as her bio her full name is Janet Louise Yellen she was born August 13, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. She is a Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, where she was the Eugene E. and Catherine M. Trefethen Professor of Business and Professor of Economics and has been a faculty member since 1980.

It is amazing that a state can make a law and the President from the White House can considers a legal challenge, what is the basis. You cannot come up wit ha policy of your own because it is the federal government job to do nothing about that issue. The Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday that she had deep concerns with the law. Not to be out done U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder said he was considering the possibility of a court challenge. We also heard from some political leaders that calling for an economic boycott to protest the law that makes it a crime to be in Arizona illegally. The newspapers and liberal elites from both coasts are weighing in. It is easy to sit in Boston, New York and Los Angeles on a high horse and say this is not right. When you are on the ground in Arizona a state over run by illegal immigration, it is an epidemic. There is an average of a kidnapping for ransom everyday in Arizona. The medical clinics in Tucson and further south have all gone bankrupt trying to give medical attention to illegal immigrants who hurt themselves crossing the boarder. It is unfair for anyone to claim this law is bad until they have lived a month in Arizona and see first hand what this is doing to their economy, crime rate, and overall living conditions in the state.

New England Republicans, only a few years ago were considered an endangered species. There have been multiple losses of elections. In Massachusetts, they have had two democratic senators for 30 years before Scott Brown, and the 10 House reps are all democrat. On a local level, the Mass legislature only has five republican members. There is hope that voter discontent, economy, jobs and President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, the GOP has a chance to regain some seat over the six-state region. The Democrats have a hold on New England in NH the GOP is favored to win back the two House seats the party lost in the 2006 Democratic tide. In RI Republican John Loughlin’s has a strong chance for retiring Patches Kennedy seat. MA retiring Democratic William Delahunt seat could be had by former state treasurer Joe Malone or Jeffrey Perry. Something needs to be done as the region has a solid block of 22 Democrats representing the six states in the House. We have seen polling in the area reflect slumping job performance ratings for Obama and Democrats. Republicans have stayed largely unified in their opposition to Obama’s agenda; this might be enough with a strong voter turnout to balance the regions politics.

The liberal elite are at it again and they never stop. We find that the Brandeis University in the blue blood streets of Massachusetts is holding a symposium. The topic is comparing the German neo-Nazi scene renewed attention since German unification in 1990 and the Right Wing Tea Party movement in the US. Are they for real, this 53,000 a year school shows where there heart is, as well as the mindset? .They will focus on the xenophobic attacks on predominantly dark-skinned foreigners and desecrations of Jewish cemeteries that have made headlines. In Liberal elite newspapers, you know the one who say there is so much violence at Tea Party rallies. But when illegal immigrants and democrats marched in Phoenix over the weekend there was more vandalism and violence then all the Tea Party rallies put together. This great event in college snobbery will be from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, the Center for German and European Studies will host a conference of European and American scholars who have studied these movements. The event will take place in International Lounge, Usdan Student Center. The Panelists will address questions about the most recent developments in the organizations’ demographics, their ideological framework, and the role of different free speech laws in shaping the groups’ media and online presence and activities, both in the U.S. and in Europe. It is amazing the kind of higher learning, higher thinking a college can provide for 53,000 a year. Is it no wonder they say those who can do and those who cannot teach.

Just when you think Congress is out of touch and feel themselves untouchable reality storms back in. We say this because the House will not take the automatic cost-of-living raise in 2011, depriving them of an estimated $1,600 increase and keeping their salaries at only a lowly $174,000 a year. It does not take a rocket scientist that taking a pay raise in an election year when the unemployment rate is closer to and has passed 10 percent. The house voted 402-15 to freeze their pay, and you have to wonder about the fifteen. Congress has a built in automatic cost-of-living pay increase unlike every private company in America which has been in effect since 1989. They even built in that the increases can only be stopped if members pass legislation to do so, would that be nice in for a private company workforce. It was only 1855 that Congressional pay was $8 a day which now stands a $476. The Senate did the same thing last week and it really does make sense. It is a rare time in politics when the congress actually gets it, this is due to election year but we will take anytime it can happen. We are going to pull down the list of the 15 member who a pay needed raise because $174,000 a year was not enough.

We have been keeping track of every day of this administration since the cold January morning in 2009 when President Barrack Obama was sworn into office. Today is the first day we have woken up since that day and he has less than a thousand days left as he has only 999 days left in 1st term. We like to count everyday for some new hope and change as we were not fired about the last hope and change. Today is day 463 that the Country has been Held Hostage under Hope and Change. We watched as every poll said 60% of the people were against Obamacare and he jammed it through. We watch as 70% of the people polled say they agree with the Immigration reform in Arizona and the president does not agree. Why is he constantly on the side of the issues against what the majority of Americans believe? We had always thought a President was going to listen to the people and deliver on what they need. We have seen 1000 days of private agendas that are about looking good in the annals of history rather than staying focused on what the country really needs jobs. Today there is only 999 to go and the number is going down we are hopeful the one poll President Obama ignores in 2012 is the one that makes him a one term President, so we do not need to start the countdown again.

It is Sunday and we though we would jump into the next big choice for Supreme Court. This is because on State of the Union today a potential nominee Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is on the record saying that it would be smart for President Obama to choose someone who is not coming from the bench. Injection of reality, currently all nine justices were federal appeals court judges before joining the high court. There is no word on who is in the running we do know President Barack Obama has begun informal talks with potential nominees for the Supreme Court as well as reaching out to the senators who will control the confirmation fight ahead. We are in this mess due to a replacement needed for longtime Justice John Paul Stevens, who is retiring this summer. We have read the list has been paired down to about ten candidates. The president says he will choose someone with the expected credentials of a strong record and dedication to the rule of law, plus an understanding of how court rulings affect people in real life. As far as we can tell these are the people up for consideration, federal appeals court judges Diane Wood, Merrick Garland and Sidney Thomas. The former Georgia Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears, Solicitor General Elena Kagan, Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, Harvard Law School dean Martha Minow. The last name is by fat the craziest but funnier things have happened Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. President Obama has 59 votes and he only needs one republican vote in the Senate to change the course of the bench for years to come.
