This week we highlight Bianca Maria Kajlich who was born March 26, 1977 in Seattle, Washington. Bianca is a graduate of Bishop Blanchet High School and Washington State University. She began her career with the Olympic Ballet Theater as a ballet dancer in Edmonds, Washington. She lasted for seven years as a dancer and decided on acting moving to Los Angeles. We made her the woman of week for the first time as last week marked the return of her show The Rules of Engagement. We are big fans of the show and she is the hottest cast member. She has been on the big screen in roles in the films Bring It On , 10 Things I Hate About You, and Halloween: Resurrection. One the little screen she has been on either once or a recurring roles in Boston Public, Dawson’s Creek, Rock Me Baby Vanished. She is smoking hot and lights up the screen the minute she walks on screen. There are so many things to like about Bianca that are so not things you expect a Hollywood actress to have but they are all there rolled up in a hot sexy 33 year old package.

There is an article on the web written by Ben Behrouzi is the Founder of DotNext Inc & Co-Founder of Reply. We are talking about it because Ben Behrouzi wrote a post on “Real-Time Search – 5 Reasons Why “We” Will Change the Web”. There are many great points about how real time search is changing the web, real time conversations, real time media, user generated content, control over content. We do not want to give too much of it away as you need to read for yourself. The five points are The “Now” Factor as we are all using the Real Time web as a source for what is happening right “Now.” We Become Co-Creators because we decide what is worth sharing by giving and getting the information. Humans vs. Machines as we find plain search does not cut it anymore everyday information is on the web it is another day older and less relevant to real time search. The fourth point is the Facebook Factor this is because of sure volume as 300 million users creating and wrapping themselves around content, which will only explode when Facebook opens up its search API to the web and finally a New Breed of Search Engines which combines SEO based search results and human conversation driven results. Which is where we are headed and what the New Web has to offer.
Every year when Oscar night roles around we say we are going to try to see the movies before the show. Another year and this lofty goal not achieved. Probably because there were better movies to see than some of these nominated. We thought this year based on the top grossing movies the hangover which received zero nominations. See the pompous liberal elite all come together and wait in hope of the golden statue. Why not let us make some predictions. We will start with performance by an actress in a leading role: Sandra Bullock – The Blind Side, Helen Mirren – the last station, Carey Mulligan – An Education, Gabourey Sidibe – Precious and Meryl Streep – Julie & Julia. We are going to go with Sandra Bullock but would not be surprised if Meryl Streep won. Next up is the performance by an actor in a leading role Jeff Bridges – Crazy Heart, George Clooney – Up In The Air, Colin Firth – A Single Man, Morgan Freeman – Invictus and Jeremy Renner – The Hurt Locker. First of all we want anyone but George Clooney the most overrated actor and bachelor in the world. We are predicting that Jeff Bridges will win tonight. That only leaves the most unpredictable award of the night which is best motion picture of the year: The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up, Up In The Air and the winner Avatar. The movie Avatar has been nominated nine times for a television awards. Enjoy the award and hopefully we will have a Woman of the Week from the red carpet. Enjoy the Show.

When the news keeps getting worse at some point Washington can not keep trying to put a shine on it. A new congressional report released says the US long-term fiscal woes are worse than predicted. The CBO predicts that President Obama budget plan would generate deficits over the upcoming decade that would total $9.8 trillion. Which is only about $1.2 trillion more than predicted by the administration but what is a few zeros between the smartest economists in the free world? How can it be will it is really simple, the future-year predictions of tax revenues are a lot less than the administration predicted. This is because the slow economic growth was lower than the White House. This was not hard to predict as since 2007 the deficit has never dipped below 4 percent of the size of the economy. It does not take MIT economists to understand deficits of this size are unsustainable. This of course is not happening in the white house they are using the February first White House budget plan document that avoided difficult decisions on curbing the unsustainable growth of federal benefit programs like Medicaid, even though we keep hearing he can pull $500 billion out of this program from fraud and abuse. The better plan is to have a 18-member fiscal reform commission made through executive order to come up with a plan to shrink the deficit to 3 percent of the economy within five years. When you parley this situation and the ramming through Congress of a new trillion-dollar health-care entitlement you have to wonder what they are thinking and why they do not get it.

The Texas primary was going to be a pretty good gauge for perception versus reality. When Governor Rick Perry rode it to an easy Republican primary win over Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison the proof is in black and white. The smaller story is republican Governor Rick Perry will now go on to fight Democrat and Former Houston Mayor Bill White, who defeated six opponents to win the nomination. Two things that are important the turnout was the highest in a Texas primary election in 20 years. This is proof the people do care and they are picking candidates they feel will help them and not hurt them. Then of even bigger importance is the attack on the capital, as this is another indication voter is going to blame Washington for wasteful and over spending, job losses and the health care debate. Texas has had a democrat win statewide office since 1994. Even though right now Texas has, a record one million jobless and an extremely high dropout rate Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison could not break through. We are not sure how this will all play into elections in November across the nation. The proof is even a Republican in congress is tainted and no jobs are safe. This might be the reason the Democrats will hammer home healthcare without a Republican vote. The thinking must be no matter what they are going to down in a ball of flames even if they do nothing, they might as well pass the legislation that was cutting their throat because there is nothing to lose. The cards are already on the table and both Republican and Democrats in congress are holding aces and eights the dead man’s hand.

Have you seen the new redesigned AccuWeather.com if you have not they have improved everything. When it comes to the weather especially in New England you need to check it often because what you thought was going to happen tomorrow will change over night. The new AccuWeather interface is easier than ever to use to help you find what they need by displaying more relevant information grouped conveniently together and at a higher level in the site. There is nothing worse than planning going for an outdoor trip and finding out the weather you thought was going to great is going to be rainy. It is good to know we can battle this by having forecasts that are displayed with radar and local video, all from one view on the home page. They have also taken away all the clutter adding larger displays and a new tabbed navigation giving more choices than ever. Last week we checked the weather as they kept telling us a big snowstorm was coming. We went to the grocery store fighting the masses to buy milk, bread and water. Moved the shovels close to the front door, backed the cars in and got ready. They called off school and we were ready to get walloped. The next day at three in the after noon not one inch of snow was on the ground. The news folk had egg on their face and proved again you just never know. It is great that there is resource that you can check a personal weather often and stay on top of the actual conditions. The new site has even more of a bonus as it includes four new lifestyle areas: Weather and Health, Weather and Travel, Weather and Home and Garden, Weather and Outdoor Activity. We give the new AccuWeather.com two thumbs way up.
The Senate has finally given assignments to Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts. You can request three and Senator Brown wound up with two out of three he requested even if he is the lowest ranking member in the committee. He was not hung out to dry either as he was given three key committee assignments. If anything, they are high-level committees that get a lot of face time in the nation news. He was assigned to the Armed Services, Homeland Security, and Veterans’ Affairs committees. He formally requested from the Senate GOP leaders for Armed Services, Homeland Security, and Appropriations. Every Senator that is elected to capital hill wants a seat on the appropriations committee. They do have the have the bottom line on spending for the senate. The appointments were made by Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. The full Senate must ratify the assignments as a parliamentary procedure. He is replacing Ted Kennedy who was the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, now chaired by Tom Harkin. This is a good fit for Brown as he is a 30-year member of the National Guard, and the country is currently involved in two wars. These committees are critical in the defense technology sector.

In a case of everything old is new again here comes retread Jerry Brown running for Governor of California. The 71-year-old career politician was previously governor from 1975 to 1983. Since then ran for president three times, served as mayor of Oakland, and is now California’s attorney general. The rumor was he was waiting to see if Senator Dianne Feinstein was going to run. He knew he could not compete with her machine and deep pockets. That being said Jerry Brown has already raised $12 million from his Hollywood cronies. The typical suspects with money to burn and no idea how to spend it. Spielberg, Katzenberg and Geffen. The good news for Jerry is he could really win polls he leads head to head against GOP front runner Meg Whitman by about five points. The former CEO of eBay, Whitman has already spent $19 million on the race. California residents have seen her commercials touting a “New California” daily on most local and cable television throughout the state with no chance for escape. Why does anybody want this job the same reason we asked McCain and Obama two years ago. California is in the economic crises with the state legislature already having to make billions of dollars in cuts to social programs to shore up a $21 billion budget gap this year and an even bigger one the year before. The state’s credit rating has been lowered and unemployment is above 12 percent. Then again just like President Obama the only way to go is up as it cannot get much worse.
