When a hack and lobbyist ridden agency from Washington starts calling foul you know it must be the truth. Today the Washington powerhouse student loan provider Sallie Mae made the claim through the media that President Obama’s new student loan overhaul will make layoffs imminent. The reports claim that Sallie Mae will have to reduce their 8,600-person workforce by 2,500. It was only yesterday President Obama was at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria to sign the student loan changes into law. The new bill includes a provision for the government to begin directly lending to students, bypassing financial institutions like Sallie May that traditionally have provided the loans. President Obama said these institutions have soaked up billions in subsidies. President Obama went on to say Sallie Mae, America’s biggest student lender, spent more than $3 million on lobbying last year. There was not much spoken about this until the final days of the Healthcare battle as many did not know there was a student loan provisions buried in the health care legislation. It begs the question if Sallie May was such a bad deal, why was Fannie May and Fannie Mac never so soundly cut out of the picture. Then you have to ask why this President would celebrate that fact he just put another 2500 people on unemployment.

There is a group of close to 5,000 American physicians that are filing a suit to stop the new national healthcare law signed by President Obama and passed only by democrats. The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons claims the bill that passed threatens not only to destroy freedom in medicine but will also bankrupt the country. The Arizona-based medical coalition filed suit on March 26, arguing that congressional reforms illegally coerce individuals into buying insurance from private companies. The bill that passed reads that starting in 2014; anyone who chooses not to buy health insurance faces a small federal penalty. When 2016 rolls around the fine will be $695 a year per person or 2.5 percent of overall income. Easy math says that if you earn $27,800 in 2016 if you do not have coverage you are subject to the penalties and fines. The AAPS has my legs as they claim this is an unconstitutional grab that rewards insurance companies and allows the federal government to seize private property in violation of the 5th Amendment. The AAPS is the only medical society to file suit against the health care package. The AAPS hopes more groups will join their suit, and predicts a shortage of doctors as the medical community adjusts to the new law.

This week we are highlighting a new comer to the list Alison Brie. Alison was born December 29, 1983 in Pasadena, California. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor’s in theater. We read in her bio that she worked as a clown at birthday parties, and performed in local theatrical plays in California waiting to get her big chance. Her first break came in a role in Hanna Montana and she kept busy doing many roles on a TV and Film. In 2007 she landed a role in the runaway hit Mad Men as Trudy Campbell for 20 shows. Currently she is on the NBC show Community and will be in a couple of movies releasing this year. She landed the role of Ella in the coming film Montana Amazon as well as the move Raspberry Magic. There is something to say for her talent as she can play both roles in a comedy Community and drama like Mad Men. Alison has a great look and dynamite body we first noticed her when she did a photo shoot for Complex magazine. Her big beautiful eyes light up the screen and will usually melt any man that stands in her way.

President Barack Obama said he is going to bypass official rules again. This time he is going to name fifteen people to key administration jobs, while the Senate is on vacation. This president used every trick in the book to get healthcare through and now he is going to use for the first time the dreaded recess appointment. In a classic statement, the President said, “I simply cannot allow partisan politics to stand in the way of the basic functioning of government.” Which is code for we are doing it my way, when I want, you can pretend to have some say but in the end this is the way it is going to be. This is another example of President Obama having no respect for the give and take of politics. We are not going to say it never happens, as we know President George W. Bush made more than 170 and President Bill Clinton made over 130. The President went from getting nothing done to a week where he passed his health care bill, a student loan over haul, and a nuclear arms treaty with Russia. It is clear that until the mid-term elections whatever can be had will despite opposition and any sense of the history of the bodies of legislature.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Global Purpose. All opinions are 100% mine.We love to point out the power of the Internet. Sometimes it is so big and vast it blows us away. That is how we feel about Boom! They say it started with a bang in 2005 and four years later in 2009 it suddenly included a whole album of music. The biggest push was over the last week when they rolled out the an online marketing campaign with simple banner ads giant bold letters that spelled “GLOBAL SONGS” in the New York Times online. You can check it out at THE PERFECT MOMENT NEVER ENDS and see it for yourself. The best part is the vision that started so long ago it now a reality. When you believe in the premise of ONE WORLD, Earth, ONE SOLUTION, ONE SONG you can believe anything is possible. Every Single Problem Is Explained in Detail, if you are not intrigued so far check out “One” the song from the Album: Population of Paradise from Rockefeller Aldrich Kennedy-Popton (also known as Rocky Pop) This is not just a fad this brainstorming on an epic level. They have opened a door to a world of hope where every person can have a voice, and they should. The truth is if we sit around and wait for change it may never happen, “It’s Up to Us to Change the World”. The bottom line is it does not matter what the change is the only bad thing is to do nothing. They have links to let you share with every media and social network. This is our turn, it is our time and to sit idly by will only let down the generations to come.

We have been hearing Dick Morris say since the beginning of Healthcare debate the biggest problem was going be lack of doctors. The truth in that statement is actually becoming a real concern. Primary care physicians which are already in short supply and healthcare overhaul will bring millions more newly insured patients means an extra strain. The AP say there is a published report that there is a shortfall of roughly 40,000 primary care doctors over the next decade. The first step of rationed care is you may never see a doctor again as the new system could be access to one doctor using a team of nurses, physician assistants and disease educators working together; these teams could see more people while giving extra attention to those who need it most. This is called the medical home model. Right now only 30 percent of doctors practice primary care. The government says 65 million people live in areas designated as having a shortage of primary care physicians, places already in need of more than 16,600 additional providers to fill the gaps. The next step in everyone get healthcare but never sees a doctor is the Web-based service named My Preventive Care that lets the practice’s patients link to their electronic medical record, answer some lifestyle and risk questions, and receive an individually tailored list of wellness steps to consider. This as much as President Obama said Healthcare will stay the same for most individuals is proof the Health care system we know is die for big changes and uncharted waters.

We wonder if Facebook is going to take a bit out the School Reunion industry if there is one. When you think about a school reunion the reason you go is to catch up with everyone and see how they are doing. Let us leave the proving you are doing better than they are attendance aside. If you have been to a reunion you meet up with someone you have not seen in forever. You tell them what you are doing introduce to spouse, trade a story of the past, show pictures of the kids and continue to mingle. We mention this because this week on FaceBook we were chased down buy a school mate from our past. We had gone to school with this person from elementary level. We shared the same classes for twelve years. When we friended the person they sent a message talking about how we had not seen each other in years. The inbox message gave me a little history of what she was doing and her personal life situation. She said she looked at my photos and the kids were cute. We looked at her profile and looked through her photos. This was the perfect school reunion encounter without needed to go. We also feel that the people who use FaceBook for this are the kind of people who would go to the reunion. We have to admit for the first time we actually had seen a use for having a FaceBook account. We probably would not have went to the reunion anyway as it would involve travel. There are some places just not worth going back to. Thanks to FaceBook we had a Better class reunion experience.

There is no shame in the Obama administration and there are no fresh ideas either. They refuse to do anything about unemployment and continue to throw stopgap fixes at every turn. The only plan they have for the foreclosure crisis, is to demand lenders temporarily slash or eliminate monthly mortgage payments for many borrowers who are unemployed. Banks and other lenders would have to reduce the payments to no more than 31 percent of a borrower’s income for three to six months or allow the borrower to skip payments altogether. There is also a push also seeks to help borrowers who owe more on their mortgages than their properties are worth. These new initiatives will take effect over the next six months. The funding will come from the $50 billion previously allocated for foreclosure relief in the emergency bailout program for the financial system. President Obama claims this is administration turning its attention to the economy and, in particular, the plight of the unemployed. This is more pretend money for a pretend fix as there have only been fewer than 200,000 borrowers have received permanent loan modifications under its $75 billion marquee program, known as Making Home Affordable. We need jobs and more handouts from the Obama credit card not only does not help it appears it does not work either.

Have you heard about the great work going on at N-Viro International Corporation? They have researchers that are developing and licensing a cutting edge technologyyou can learn about at http://www.nviro.com. They have patented the process that can use lime and/or mineral-rich, combustion byproducts to treat, pasteurize, immobilize and convert wastewater sludge and other bio-organic wastes into biomineral agricultural and soil-enrichment products with real market value. This has tremendous value both municipalities and private companies. This amazing research and development of biosolids, which is readily available as it is also known as sewage sludge, as they are the residual solids left over after the treatment of municipal wastewater. The best thing is biosolids are safe for beneficial reuse as properly treated biosolids such as compost, pellets and N-Viro Soil™ are free of pathogens and are often times safer than the dirt in your front yard. The N-Viro process eliminates all pathogenic bacteria, enteric viruses, and helminth ova. This new frontier has arrived in Many new markets all across the country and around the world. The primary market for N-Viro Soil™ is agriculture. The American farmers use more N-Viro Soil™ annually than all other lime treated biosolids-derived products combined. N-Viro Soil is also used in landscaping and horticulture, land reclamation, landfill cover material, silviculture, topsoil blending, and as a soil amendment. N-Viro is often blended with materials and bagged for use in home gardens.

Instead of this government addressing a problem it has become easier to just create debt. The lame stream media will tell you the mean begrudging Senate Republicans are blocking the speedy passage of a stopgap bill to extend jobless benefits. This administration has decided that instead of created more of those shovel ready jobs it is just easier to keep extended benefits. What is another $9 billion added to the national debt that stands at $12.7 trillion debt. It was only a month ago those mean spirited Republicans had a similar battle that led to an interruption in unemployment benefits eligibility for some people and a two-day furlough for about 2,000 Transportation Department employees. That stopgap law enacted early this month extended though March 31 unemployment insurance for people who have been out of a job for more than six months. House and Senate Democrats are working on a long-term measure through the end of the year. Democrats move to extend benefits for an additional month so they can to go home for a two-week spring recess. The double speak comes when Democratic leaders say that jobless benefits are an emergency and they do not need to conform to the new pay-as-you-go budget law, which requires new benefit programs to be offset with spending cuts or tax increases so they don’t increase the deficit. The Democrats are calling this sour grapes over Healthcare but Republicans just want to use some of the stimulus funds that are sitting waiting for home.

Season nine of American Idol has been bad. There have been bad seasons before Fantasia beating DiGarmo and Hicks beating McPhee. We say this because none of them lived up to winning like Clarkson, Underwood, or even none winner Daughtry. This season the talent might be the worst ever. Could it be they have drained the cities where they audition by process they use to find talent. Let us put the past behind us and look at the dim future of the show. As a guest mentor they picked Miley Cryus, really, they claim at 17, she knows the business, the fact is she is a Disney product and Disney knows the business. They package her songs into the show, so they sell. They package her as a performer so kids pay to see her sing. There are only two girls worth watching perform this season and one might never sell a record. There are only two guys worth watching perform and neither might sell a record. The judges table is a mess Kara is hung up on meaning of the song and staying far away from Ellen. As much as they try to build up Ellen as a judge, she has brought nothing to the show. Randy is just happy not to be playing bass somewhere and Simon is on his way out. This leaves the prospect of next year grim for America. That being said 22.57 million viewers still tuned in last week for two hours. We have not heard Seacrest start a result show by saying “30 million votes last night,” which is the true test if people are vested or just watching. Sitting here it jumped the shark when Miley Cryus was named a mentor.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Foodmix. All opinions are 100% mine.
We want to let you know about Holland House Cooking Wine, a wine that is made specifically for cooking. When you use wine for cooking the possibilities are endless and the magnificent flavors that cooking wine brings to foods are regal. There is also a practicality of using it for cooking over a table wine. Everyone loves a good wine dish, in our home and we had a Burgundy Pork Tenderloin the other night that was out of this world. We became interested in Holland House as it is made from premium wine but adapted to have the consistency you depend on for cooking. This gives it a perfect balance of taste and aroma. One of the best parts is that unlike a table wine that can lose its flavor after being opened for a few days, Holland House Cooking Wine has a six month plus shelf life. They have even let us offer you an online coupon available on their website for extra savings. You can add Holland House Cooking Wine to sauces, marinades, soups and glazes to give them a flavorful kick and for something new you can even add it to your spaghetti sauce. Holland House offers unique varieties that are difficult to duplicate like Sherry, Marsala, Vermouth and White with Lemon and it does contain salt, so when substituting for wine in a recipe, you need to adjust your seasoning accordingly. We have even included a link to a glazed ham recipe. If you have not tried Holland House Cooking Wine then use the online coupon and find out what you have been missing and jump start your next meal time.

After the first twelve episodes of Nurse Jackie last season we were hooked. This is where we left off and what we know. Jackie was jealous of Jenny Flynn the mom from the kids tap class because Jenny went out with her husband Kevin. Which is odd as she is having an affair with Eddie who went to the bar before it open and was invited by Kevin to sit down. The nurse Zoey, who has put a patient in the coma with the wrong dose of pain medication. Dr. Cooper knows Jackie broke her own finger. She calls him a moron, and just to confuse him, she kisses him. Eleanor tells Jackie she is illegaly having her comatose mother shipped in from England and needs Jackie’s help to enter her as a “Jane Doe” found in a park. One of the best lines of the season “I’m already on the hook for one coma, what’s one more?” says Jackie. In the pharmacy, Jackie tries the unplug-the-machine trick Eddie showed her. She waits for it to reboot and it does not work. She calls Eddie and leaves a message asking him to call. In the bar, Eddie ignores Jackie calling on his cell. He orders a shot of Jack. Kevin joins in. Jackie again tries the Pill-o-Matix. She unplugs but when she plugs it back in an alarm goes off. Jackie flees in panic. Cooper holds up Mo Mo’s phone and kisses him as Jackie walks by and Cooper is flustered. Mo Mo now knows Cooper is hot for Jackie. Nutterman wakes from the coma and cannot remember anything about his past. A really drunk Eddie walks in ER and Akalitus threatens to call security. He says before he leaves to Jackie that he met Kevin. Leaving Jackie frozen heading to the pharmacy where she kicks the machine. Then she punches in her code and orders three vials of injectable morphine sulfate. She finds an empty room and shuts the door, taking a deep breath. She sits on the floor, pops the cap off a vial and takes all three doses, she lies back on the floor. She sees Grace and Kevin in a perfect world as she sings “Have you Ever Seen the Rain”. The new season starts tonight with the episode Comfort Food.

Today is the day it look as if there is enough votes and we are about to have National Healthcare. There is no way to tell how this is going to end up. We believe they have the votes and more than likely it will be months before we know all the deals that were made to switch from a no vote to a yes. Just like the Medicare and Social Security programs that had taken years before we knew how funding they would put us in debt. We fear this is another example of the safety net the government utopia is trying to create might lead us all to bankruptcy. We will never support this legislation as we think any able bodied American that has a family a needs health insurance should get a job and work for it. We understand pre-existing condition and hiring workers for part-time skirts the chance of getting on the ranks of enrolled. These are the problem with healthcare and never addressed without just making everyone will have national healthcare and that is the end game. This is a day that will go down in history as Medicare Bill on July 30, 1965 and the Social Security Act August 14, 1935. we do not know what day President Obama will sign this bill but for better or worse it will be linked with the other two programs and accomplished putting a mark on his presidency that will be known more than just the first black president.

The CBO Budget report http://www.c-span.org/pdf/cbo031810.pdf look like fuzzy math when they project that in 2019 they are going to collect more money Penalty Payments by Uninsured Individuals, Penalty Payments by Employers, Other Effects on Tax Revenues, and the biggest is an Excise Tax on High Premium Plans. Click on Graphic Below to see larger. If the problem is Health Insurance companies are rising priced to fast. How can charging a tax for having those equal to 12 in 2018 and 20 in 2019 be the same thing?
