There are some Democrats putting their foot down. They do not like the idea of sending 90 or so Yemenis back to Yemen. These are Democrats who support closing Guantanamo Bay flopping that the U.S. should reconsider whether to repatriate suspected terrorists from Yemen, given the al-Qaida activity in the poor Arab nation. There were Six Yemenis that were returned on December 20, have been released after the Yemen government determined they were not a threat. Even President Barack Obama has had to admit an al-Qaida group operating in Yemen apparently was behind the plot to bring down a U.S.-bound airliner on Christmas Day. The marching orders from inauguration day have been close Guantanamo Bay and if you watched talking head shows yesterday President Barack Obama’s top counterterrorism adviser, John Brennan kept the company line saying these individuals are going to be transferred back to Yemen at the right time in a very commonsense fashion because they want to make sure that they are able to close Guantanamo. This is more of the win at all American lives cost this President has instilled in his minions. To counter that we have some really liberal Democrats flopping Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein, Rep. Jane Harman, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, both of California, Sen. Joe Lieberman, and Connecticut calling transferring any of the Yemeni detainees back home would be irresponsible. The problem is this Democrats standing up for something they believe in, is this another Bill Nelson of Nebraska type of standing up for something they believe in. This is the slippery slope the Democrats have now, are they just looking to get a handout for their support how can we ever really be sure again.
