Justice Department shake up

We are hearing reports that David Ogden the number two official at the Justice Department is going to step down. This is a strange departure as he was on the job for only 10 months. This is proof there had to be tensions between Ogden and Attorney General Eric Holder. Ogden, who is 56 years old, will be returning to the blue-chip WilmerHale law firm. This is where he was before he took the job at the justice department and has worked since 2001 after serving with Holder in the Clinton administration. We are not sure what the final straw that caused the resignation. This could be over the upcoming fight to prosecute the 9/11 suspects in New York City, a weakness has been said that Ogden had is prosecuting criminals. We have had real issues with this Justice department especially over the manipulation of the media. We notice that they quietly notifying a court that it intended to drop manslaughter and weapons charges against a Blackwater Worldwide security guard involved in a 2007 Baghdad shooting that left 17 Iraqis dead. Then they had the court filing sealed from public view. This of course was done without ceremony. But if you remember in December when the charges were announced the Justice Department held a noon news conference and put out a lengthy press release. We believe you will see other fall out as guys like Ogden never like to get their hands dirty or be held responsible for bad news.
