Before we forget they have a celebrated wine cellar that features over 4,000 bottles from 310 different labels, and is continually recognized by Wine Spectator. The Balsams has been feeding up to 500 guests a day. The Dixville Notch New Hampshire-based program is recognized to be one of the best of its kind. The Grand Dining Room has comfortable wraparound porch as well as spectacular views throughout the 8,000-acre property. There are plenty of winter activities things like snowshoeing, skating, broomball games, or a family sleigh ride. In the summer there is activities kinds, including golf, tennis, kayaking, children’s camp, mountain biking and much more. I have to correct the information above about The BALSAMS activities.
I am the Rec. Director for the resort. We do not offer sledding or tubing in the winter season as an activity. There are plenty of opportunities of winter activities such as: snowshoeing, skating, broomball games, or maybe the family may wish to go on a sleigh ride.

Readers of our travel section may stay at your hotel while skiing or tubing in the area which was the basis for the statment, thank you for this information as we did not know about these activities you offer which would enhance any stay at the “The BALSAMS”.
