Never too early for GOP 2012

Watching the talking head Sunday there is a good chance by the Iowa Caucus there could be a lot of candidates looking to take on President Elect Barack Obama from the GOP. The most noise right now is for Sarah Palin who is never far from the public eye and now on a book tour. We have seen Tim Pawlenty working across the country creating a more national political presence. Then there is business man Mitt Romney who has been speaking on the recession, economy and deficits. The job over the next year is to court the conservatives critical in primaries and proving they beat an incumbent president. Some other names that have been floated are former New York Governor George Pataki, Haley Barbour, the Republican Governors Association chairman, South Dakota Senator John Thune and Indiana Representative Mike Pence and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. There also has been a couple stung early this would include Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal who rebuttal to the State of the Union was a disaster nationally. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich lost some gravitas when he did not do his homework on the election in the House in upper state New York calling back into question his decision making process. Retreads and also rans from 2008 include former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum. We at the tea512 cannot wait to get this party started to have a choice and hopeful the current occupant at 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue will be spending 2013 in retirement on the rubber chicken tour. One can only hope.
