We wanted to let you know about a really cool website that deal in all thing food related. http://www.foodconnect.com/ gives the user the ability to search for restaurants anywhere in Canada and the US. You can give a review of the restaurants where you have eaten. The better piece is you can read reviews left by others about restaurants you have not been to before. When you log into the site, it will bring up the featured restaurants in your location. They also feature cookbooks and recipes that can be reviewed and graded. Be careful on these pages though as the food looks so good you stomach will start hurt. The review system is little forks as opposed to starts that are a great way to grade a restaurant. The bread and butter of the site pardon the pun is the restaurant listing reviews. The review pages are great as they show address, phone, and basics you need to make a reservation or find the place. They also cover the cuisine, price level, if it is good for group parties or kid friendly, they will let you know about parking, outdoor dining, alcohol, take-out, and delivery. We used it to find a different place to eat for lunch at work. When you are in a big city, there are plenty of places to eat but you get into a rut of only going to the places you know. These are the ones with big signs or name recognition. Thanks to this site we found a great little place on a back street we never new existed. The search function is great as you can plug in any zip code and find what it in your area. This will work when we travel as well as from our homes.
