Election Day Excitement

We are looking at three races with very much excitement. The first two are governor races in Virginia and New Jersey, the next is a congressional seat in upper state New York and two Mayor Races Boston and New York. The last two are for the blood sport of politics but the first three are important. If Republicans can win these three races it will send a message to the Hope and Change crowd they over played their hand. It will send a message to blue dog democrats about what is in store in 2010 if they line up lock in step with the white house. We are not the only watching as you can rest assure the Whitehouse is as well. The Virgina governor race pits Democrat R. Creigh Deeds against Republican Robert F. ”Bob” McDonnell the polls shows McDonnell with a double-digit lead. The New Jersey race between Democrat Jon Corzine and Republican Chris Christie has had the contender leading the incumbent for weeks and this morning poll show the Republican ahead 46-43 but still to close to call. The congressional seat for New York district 23 the Republican Dede Scozzafava has left the race just days before, as she was third behind the democrat Bill Owens and a independent Doug Hoffman. The independent is the more conservative. Owens has a lead of 33-29 in the polls but it not clear when it became a two-person race it is assumed all Scozzafava votes will go to Doug Hoffman.
