You knew when Republican Governor of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty announced he was not seeking a third term; you know he must have bigger plans for 2012. He will talk with Bob Schieffer about the future of the Republican Party as well as his plans for 2012 on Washington Unplugged Friday. We wonder if he is going to be the first t put his hat in the ring. Minnesota has thrived under the leadership of Governor Tim Pawlenty two terms they lead the nation in a variety of measures. Minnesota is first among states in Fortune 500 companies per capita, first in overall quality of life, first in homeownership, first in percentage of residents with a high school diploma, and first in residents over 25 with a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota has the highest average ACT scores in the nation. The track record is good and we wonder who will be the first to oppose President Obama. The cast includes Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal is all garnering support without anyone claiming they are ready for the fight. President Obama did not announce his run until August 2008, which means we are more than likely about 15 months away from knowing who will get in the ring.
