New Year Credit Report Time

Every year in January, we go to the three major credit-reporting agencies and request a credit report. This is a law that once a year they have to provide you with the information they give everyone else. We recommend that everyone do it regardless of your credit situation. There could be things on there that are not yours and you can take steps to correct it. You might see something that will be negative and hinder you from getting a loan. This is a great way to start the year and know exactly where you stand. It is easy enough to do and the names of the agencies are TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. They keep track of you as well so if you get your report on 1/15/09 you have to wait until 1/20/10 to get another free one. They make you jump through a few hurdles for it but it is the law so they have to make it happen. The good thing is you have a negative, you will know when it is scheduled for removal. You can use this information to help your decision on applying for a new loan. If you wait a couple of months to apply for a new loan, your credit score will be higher. This will not give you credit score for free this is only the report and we urge our readers to make them give it up to you. This is a case where government has done the right thing and every citizen should take advantage.

You think you got it all locked up inside
And if you beat them enough they’ll die
Its like a walk in the park from a cell
And now you’re keeping your own kind in hell
