Readers Digest informing about Diabetes

Tea512 has been reviewing the new Readers Digest website in a three part series. The first was Laughs, the second was Family, and today a more important topic RD.com - Managing Diabetes. I have had to live with people who have had diabetes for most of my life. This is something that can be lived with but it is always in the room like an 800 pound gorilla. A diabetic must worry about their sugar dropping, they must carry an emergency insulin kit around with them all the time, and they may need help with life threatening issues at any moment. The website has a very good section on understanding this disease; helping you learn the basics, suggest strategies to stay on top of the blood sugar, Understanding Glycemic Index, Exercising with Diabetes, Foods to Stabilize Blood Sugar and Diabetes-Friendly Recipes A couple of my personal favorite recipes are: Mousse and Cheesecake. But do not take my word for it or that these are the best two recipes go to
RD.com - Diabetes Friendly Foods and check out what they have for yourself.

There are too many great articles to mention but as for instance  Blood Sugar is an outstanding example. The other cool thing is the diabetes-content is frequently updated rd.com/managing-diabetes is a must add as a bookmark. You find quizzes, choosing the right insulin, and tips for helping a person with diabetes. Because the more you understand if this affects you or a loved one the better off everyone will be. They say at Rd.com the better educated we are in managing diabetes, the better our lives will be!
